Hi, I’m Tyler. I teach future K-12 teachers how to teach at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. I’m also the managing editor of the Journal on Best Teaching Practices, a sports blogger, a web designer, a family man, a runner, and a learner.
wd4 everyone exists because I believe that EVERYONE should have their own website. And the good news is that this is indeed possible for anyone willing to spend 30 minutes to create a FREE site. The web has changed. People usually don’t believe me when I tell them they can create their own site in 30 minutes, but it’s true. Indeed, as a web designer I no longer feel comfortable offering my design services to most people because, while I certainly can (and still do) offer my services for those who have no time or need a website that takes them to the next level, most people can and should build their own websites.
Now, obviously there is a lot more to creating, owning, and maintaining a website than simply uploading files. The hard work is in conceptualizing and creating worthwhile content for your site. Some of that work can be off-loaded to a designer or copywriter, but you can also learn how to do those things yourself. So that’s why this website exists. I want you to be able to create your own website, and the blog posts, video tutorials, and e-books found on this site can help you do that.
